At the beginning of each year I like to set an intention, and for 2021, I chose the word "Boldness" because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. I put my intention out to the universe and I thought that I would be guided to take bold actions with my coaching business. Many bold actions came for my business (I completed my certification program, became an ACC & CPCC, coached amazing soulmate clients, and met many fantastic coaches), however, I had no idea the universe had bigger plans for me.

Here are a few examples of how "boldness" showed up for me:

  • I ended a 25 year toxic relationship with alcohol. I chose to free myself from this and I no longer drink.

  • I moved countries in the middle of a pandemic. I had to trust this move happened for a reason and I had to start a new life for myself and my family.

  • I had to sit with my people pleasing saboteur, who showed up very strongly during the moving process, and relearn how to break the patterns, set new boundaries, and stop putting everyone else's happiness first.

  • I had to put the brakes on posting on social media and step away from it for 5 months. I had to trust that my body and soul needed to rest and I needed to realign my energy.

  • I had to take a driving exam (both written & behind the wheel) because my driving license isn't accepted here. Even though I've been driving for over 20 years, this was an incredibly uncomfortable experience!

And here are my biggest takeaways from a wildly BOLD year:

  • I need to make my energy a priority and consistently check in with myself.

  • My intuition is one of my superpowers and to trust the guidance that comes in.

  • Other people's emotions and feelings are not my problem to fix.

  • In order to be my most authentic self, I need to honor what my heart wants.

  • Challenging and uncomfortable situations are just lessons to help me grow.

  • Living a fulfilled life comes from embracing who I am, and that it's OK to rest, play, create AND take action from this place.

I invite you to take some time to reflect on your year, as a way to pause and slow down the hectic momentum of the holidays. When we take this time for ourselves, we get really present to who we are being and tap into our most authentic self. Ask yourself what were your biggest takeaways? Where were your biggest areas of growth? What did you need to let go in order to step more fully into who you are today?
