2022 is coming to an end and one of my favorite exercises that I like to do for both my clients and myself is to reflect on the whole year and shine a light on what worked and what did not work.

It is so important to celebrate our areas of growth, and our failures, in order to learn about ourselves and to help move us forward. By reflecting on the year, we are also able to reframe our stories and perspectives. This will give us powerful insights for what we want to create in 2023.

So get yourself set up in a cozy spot, maybe light a candle or dim the lights, put on some of your favorite music, grab your pen and journal, or your computer, and surrender to your reflection journey!

Here are a few reflection questions I like to ask my clients and myself:

  • If you were writing a book and 2022 was a chapter in the book, what would you title the chapter?

  • If you were to paint a cover picture for this chapter, what would it look like?

  • What are a few accomplishments that you are most proud of?

  • In what ways did this year surprise you?

  • What were some of your biggest lessons?

  • What new resources or strengths did you either uncover or develop?

  • What didn't work this year? What will you do differently going forward?

  • Looking back on this year, what is something you want to let go of?

  • What are you most grateful for this year?

  • How would you like to wrap up and complete this year?

I'd love to hear from you! What is something you are really proud of and what is something you want to let go of so that you can move forward in 2023.
